Because I thought it might be interesting to see where everyone's coming from ...
Here's a thread to say hi, and say a bit about your interest in movement/embodiment/whatchamacallit.
What movement things do you do -- or not do? Or: what did you do in the past? Or: what might you be interested in learning more about, but haven't tried yet? Or: what do you love reading about even though you'd never want to do it personally?
I suggest that people feel free to jump all over each other and ask questions if you're curious about something someone else mentions (if you'd rather not answer questions, please just say so), or want to say "me too" or compare notes.

Date: 2016-11-03 03:12 am (UTC)There is usually something, even if it's as simple as very gentle exercise (and knowing when to keep off it)! Don't give up on your knee, however painful--I'm glad you'll follow up with your doctor.
Yes, no longer noticing the pain makes perfect sense, unfortunately.... In my case, my kneecap floats loose and sometimes slides down despite adequate nearby muscles. No arthritis there yet, for which I'm grateful.

Date: 2016-11-04 01:13 am (UTC)That's pretty much what started all my trouble. My kneecaps would pop out and slide to the side as a kid, and they did it so often that it shredded all the meniscus. It's happened very rarely as an adult, most notably during and shortly after pregnancy, I think because all your joints loosen up when you're pregnant.
